‘65 Coupe Auction - 327ci/300hp, 4 Speed, Side Exhaust
This C2 looks pristine, but the ad description lacks history and background information
This ‘65 coupe has a 327ci/300hp engine and a four-speed manual transmission. From the photos provided with the listing, the Milano Maroon exterior looks to be in nice condition, the original wheel covers are present, and the chrome also looks good.
The ad listing is really short on details - there is no mention of whether the car has been repainted, if this car was equipped with the side exhaust from the factory, or if the drivetrain is original.
Although the current odometer reading is 6,391 miles, the Ohio title records it as “mileage-exempt,” which isn’t unusual for an older car. The ad further states that “This vehicle's Ohio title is currently branded with a warning about the odometer.” I don’t know if that’s a reference to “mileage-exempt,” or if it means something else.
This car was bid up to $67,000 in an online auction, but the reserve wasn’t met and it didn’t sell. It went to “The Bidding Continues…” section of the site and it still hasn’t sold a week after the auction ended.
The maroon vinyl interior looks spotless and everything looks original. It would be nice to know if this C2 is a “survivor,” or if it’s the product of a full restoration.
The engine compartment certainly shows well and the engine and components look original. Even the ignition shielding is in place.
Overall, this mid-year looks really nice and it makes me wonder why it hasn’t sold. But if it’s actually as good as it looks with no hidden issues or title problems, the last bid of $67,000.00 is probably a little under the market value.
How much do you think this C2 is worth?

You’ll have to navigate through the site to “The Bidding Continues…” section of the site, but here is the link: https://autohunter.com/Listing/Details/66650881/1965-CHEVROLET-CORVETTE-L75-327300
I would guess the reserve would be at $75000.
