I really like the look of this Arctic White C4. This generation Corvette caught my attention when my younger brother bought a used ‘88 35th Anniversary Edition coupe several years ago. That car was triple white: exterior, interior, and even the wheels. It was a car that commanded attention and certainly caught mine.
This fourth-generation car is a gorgeous survivor with 19,000 documented miles, and is completely original and nicely equipped. It’s apparently one of only 22 Arctic White ‘93 ZR-1s. Strangely, on base models that year, this was the third more popular color.
This car appears to be flawless with no paint or panel issues, and the alloy wheels look pristine. This is most likely because it has spent its life in the Texas dry climate, making the immaculate condition unsurprising.
The black interior offers a driver’s airbag, a digital speedometer, leather trim, air conditioning, power windows/locks/seats/mirrors, cruise control, a leather-wrapped tilt wheel, cruise control, and a premium Delco/Bose AM/FM radio/CD player. The general condition of the interior seems to verify the low odometer miles. Even the outer seat bolsters, which are prone to showing wear, are in good shape.
The ZR-1 package added $31,683 to the sticker price of a Corvette, almost doubling the price over the base model. The base engine produced a healthy 300hp and 340 ft/lbs of torque, but the all-aluminum 5.7-liter engine developed for the ZR-1 was designed with overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder producing 405 hp and 385 ft/lbs of torque. A ZF six-speed manual transmission was used to handle the increased power and torque, and the suspension and brakes were also upgraded.
Although the $43,000 asking price seems a little high, this car is exceptionally nice and may find a new owner pretty easily. Here is a link to the Craigslist ad:
