Better Headlight Illumination for your C5 Corvette?
Brighter is usually better
As a kind of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” kind of guy, I don’t make many modifications to my cars, and when I do, it’s the sort of change that’s simple and easily reversible. I’m wary of electronics, because I’ve never understood electricity and regard it as some sort of dark art. But when I see a need for some sort of improvement, I’ll venture carefully into the unknown. That’s the case with headlight illumination.
I believe I stumbled across this item on some Corvette group on Facebook and got excited about the cost/benefit ratio, ability to easily undo the installation if necessary, and the promise of better forward illumination.
The description of the product includes the statements “Double your Headlight Lumens by keeping your Low Beams with the High Beams,” “Install easily and quickly in the under-hood fuse panel area in less than 5 minutes,” and “NON-PERMANENT – Go back to stock by removing the harness.” They had me at “Double your Headlight Lumens.
