The Rolex 24 race on the road course at Daytona International Speedway starts at 1:40 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 25. (qualifying takes place on Thursday, January 23.) This year’s entry of five Corvette GT3s from four teams is the largest number of Corvettes in the race since 2007. These Corvettes are entered in two of the four classes in the 61-car field.
Corvette Racing has won 128 races since 1999 when the C5.R was first introduced. The brand has accumulated four GT class victories at the Rolex 24, with one of those an overall win in 2001.
Corvette Racing team engineers have wrought significant improvements to the Z06 GT3.R over its first season of competition, with goals of optimizing performance and improving reliability. The performance of the Corvette GT3 was clearly improved in 2024 with 12 pole positions across three series, and a significant increase in reliability was also evident in the second half of the year.
